Cruisin’ for a Cure 2023
So I realized as I was about to write about this year’s Cruisin’ for a Cure that I haven’t been since 2019. This year’s show was fantastic but a little on the warm side. Alright it was hot! The heat definitely turned some people away but it was still an awesome turnout for a great cause.
Ventura Nationals 2023
A favorite show every single year. I do love the Ventura Nationals! This year’s show was packed with friends and cool cars. It’s hard to describe but the vibe of this show is always wonderful. You are just hangin’ around so many car loving people who are just there to have a good time.
Ventura Nationals Roll-In
Every year I get up early and get the cars rolling into the Ventura Nationals. This year I was there around 5am. Now that may sound early but the 1st cars in the line got there at 3:30am. Yep, you read that right, 3:30am.
Friday of the Ventura Nationals Weekend
Friday evening and into the night there are a few shop open houses during the Ventura Nationals Weekend.
Isky’s 102nd Birthday Party at the Lions Automobilia Museum
Ed “Isky” Iskederian, The Camfather & founder of Isky Racing Cams turned 102 year’s young on Monday, July 10th. Saturday at the Lions Automobilia Museum they through him a big party with friends, family and fans.
Mooneyes Open House 2023
One of my favorite events every year is the Mooneyes Open House. It’s always a fantastic event with so many cool cars and lots of friends.
Cambra Speed Shop Block Party
Cambra Speed Shop has had shows in the past at their place but this is the first one that they have shut the street down for and it was a great success
LA Roadster Show
A fantastic way to spend a Saturday checking out cool cars in sunny Southern California. Well finally sunny, it’s been gray and overcast in SoCal for months and finally we got some sun for the LA Roadster Show. Now in it’s 57th year.
Nosed & Decked - Chopped & Dropped
Saturday was a blast for this year’s Chopped & Dropped put on by Nosed & Decked at Roxannes Bar in Long Beach. Now I may be a little bias as Wade, owner of Nosed & Decked, is a great friend but I can’t deny that for the second show it was a great turnout and a whole lot of fun.
Model A Pancake Breakfast
Sunday I headed over to Hart Park in Orange, California for the Annual Model A Pancake Breakfast put on by the Orange County Model A Ford Club.
Customs Cruise San Pedro
Welp I haven’t done 1 show in a day for awhile why not 2. On Saturday evening after the Aces Hot Rod Resurrection show I headed over to San Pedro for Customs Cruise.
Aces Hot Rod Resurrection
It’s been awhile since I have been to a car show. I’ve been working on a long term project that I should be able to tell you about in the next couple of months but I knew I wasn’t going to miss the Aces Hot Rod Resurrection show. It happens at Old World Village in Huntington Beach, CA and is always a blast.
Lost Souls Get Down
A show I try to never miss is the Lost Souls Get Down. Put on by the Lost Souls Car Club, it all goes down at a park in San Pedro, CA.

One of my favorite things to do at the Grand National Roadster Show is to hang out after the sun sets to get some fun photos around the event.

Saturday and Sunday is the Grand Cruise-In at the Grand National Roadster Show.
