So many friends at this year’s RPM Nationals. Many new and many old friends just out having a goodtime watching 4-bangers and flathead hot rods running down the strip.

Now of course the RPM Nationals is about the racing but that’s not all that is going on during the event on Saturday.

It all starts on Friday at Santa Margarita Ranch as the participants roll-in setting up their pits and getting their cars teched and ready for RPM Nationals.

Saturday I headed over to The Zimmerman Automobile Driving Museum for the South Coast Corsa Ageless 2 Anarchy Car Show.

One of my favorite shows every year is the Ventura Nationals and this year’s show did not disappoint. From start to finish checking out all the awesome rides that rolled into to the show and a wonderful day hangin’ with friends just made for a great holiday weekend.

The beginning of the big show. Saturday morning I’m up at 4am to be ready for the Ventura Nationals and to catch all the cool rides rolling into the show. Now usually I’m not there before a show begins or just a little before but the sunrises at the Ventura Nationals can be spectacular.

Friday night for the Ventura Nationals weekend is always a fun time. The events have changed over the years but the fun has never stopped.

It was a 2 show kind of weekend. Saturday was the gassers event at ZADM and Sunday was the San Marino Motor Classic. This is more of a concours event but also not. It is always a fun time at Lacy Park and this year’s was one of the largest I’ve seen there.

Saturday I headed over to The Zimmerman Automobile Driving Museum (man that’s a mouthful) for the awesome Gasser event they have almost every year. This time it’s Gassers 8 and the street and parking lot were filled with all kinds of gasser goodness along with a couple of drag cars and cool hot rods.

In their second year the Reunion Car & Moto Show was another success. So I realized when I got home I did more hangin’ out with friends then take pictures.

This show is always a great time. The show is in Downtown El Segundo on Main Street and spans multiple blocks filled with cool cars and trucks.

Nosed and Decked along with Roxanne’s Bar in Long Beach put on the Chopped and Dropped Party and it was a blast. Customs came from as far as the San Diego area. The parking lots and streets were filled with so many cool cars and the bar was filled with friends old and new.

Always a fun way to kickoff a Saturday at the world-famous Donut Derelicts. The weekly show is always a blast and in my many years of going only a few have had a small turnout. This last Saturday’s show was not one of them. The place was packed, just packed.

Saturday I headed to the Lyon Air Museum in Santa Ana for the fantastic War Surplus on Wheels car show. This incredible show was put together by Bobby Green of Old Crow Speed Shop and he put together 130 cars that took over the tarmac outside the museum plus some very cool bellytank landspeed race cars inside.

Saturday’s shenanigans were not far from my place in Whittier. Just a short drive to Mooneyes and their always fun yearly Open House.

A Fathers Day holiday weekend tradition is back after a hiatus. I’m so happy that it’s back and I spent Saturday hangin’ out at the Fairplex in Pomona, CA checking out the awesome roadsters and so many other cool rides that came out for the show.

So after a fun day at the Lions Automobilia Museum, I finished off Saturday at the Customs Cruise in Riverside. The Customs Cruise is always such a great time and this time it moved to Riverside right in front the the historic Riverside Court House.

A fun time at the Lion Automobilia Museum for their Funny Car Fever event. Such a wonderful museum and worth a visit.

One of my favorite shows every year is the Aces Hot Rod Resurrection car show. Last Saturday I headed down to Old World Village in Huntington Beach, California for the fantastic car show put on by the Aces Car Club.

Saturday morning I headed over to La Verne, California, home of my college alma mater University of La Verne and the annual Cool Cruise.
