I've been following on social media this year's winner of the Al Slonaker Memorial Award for a while. It was so great to see it in person. What a wonderful build from the crew over Hollywood Hot Rods.

Mooneyes return to Irwindale for the Mooneyes New Years Party was a fantastic time. Last Saturday was filled with cool cars, drag racing, friends and a pinup contest put on by my friend Mitzi.

The tradition continues. My 1st car event of the year and for the last few years is always Donut Derelicts. It's a great way to kick-off the year and a Saturday. It was a little lighter than I expected but there was still a great turnout for the weekly show.

Year after year I'm out of town visiting family and always miss the Holiday Motor Excursion. I've had friends send me pictures from the event that I have shared but have always wanted to go.

A wonderful yearly event put on by the Mercifuls Car Club is the ABC7 Spark of Love Toy Drive.

The last of the year Customs Cruise moved to Torrance this time to the Foster Freeze on Cravens Ave. What a fantastic year it has been checking all the Customs Cruise events.

Sunday morning I headed up to Oxnard, CA for Muscles & Mojo at The Murphy Auto Museum.

Saturday I headed over to La Verne for their Cruisin’ La Verne Holiday Car Show. It’s a mix of a car show and a toy drive.

ll Regional Park for this year's Aces Car Club Poker Run. What a great time. There were close to 50 participants in the poker run and it was so cool to see all the hot rods run around picking up playing cards trying for the best hand.

Saturday night I headed out to LA to check out the newest Customs Cruise. The invite-only show is always fun. You just never know what is going to show up.

The last few from this year’s RPM Nationals. If you dig early cars powered by flatheads and 4 bangers going head to head in drag racing you need to put it on the calendar. It all goes down at Santa Margarita Ranch on their runway. And it’s not just drag racing. There’s a swap meet and car show. It’s just such a blast. I can’t wait for next year’s show.

Here comes a week of pictures of one of the most fun events around. A couple of weeks ago I hitched a ride with my buddy Shiney and we headed to the RPM Nationals. We headed up a day early for an easy ride and to hang out with some friends that were going to be at the event. The RPM Nationals is a flathead and 4 banger drag race.

Sunday morning I headed over to Oak Canyon Park for the Outriders Picnic. The first and last time I was at the show was in 2019. There was no show in 2020. Thanks to my buddy Shiney, who took me to the first show, he got me a ticket for this year's fantastic event.

Saturday morning I headed to Monrovia for their annual car show thrown by the Street Rods Forever Car Club.

What a fantastic show! This is one of the few that is always on my calendar. I'm here from the beginning until they are kicking us out at the end. So many cool hot rods, so many good friends, great bands and more.

Every year I get up early to get all the cool rides that roll into the Ventura Nationals Show. This year I arrived before the sun was even up and the line was already huge.

Friday I headed up to Ventura for the Ventura Nationals. Friday's are always so much fun. The town fills with traditional hot rods and customs in anticipation of Saturday's show.
